The agreement between you and the Developer for using Quota. Plain-language summaries sit above the fuller text of each section — the full text is what actually governs.
By downloading, installing or using Quota (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree to them, don't use the App. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and atharvbyadav ("the Developer").
Quota is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking application for Android. It helps you record transactions, set spending quotas, organize wallets and categories, and optionally back up that information — either to a local file or to your own Google Drive. Quota does not connect to your bank, does not move real money and does not process payments of any kind. Every number in the app is something you entered yourself.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Quota. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use financial-tracking software.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Quota on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial budgeting purposes. This license doesn't give you any ownership in the App itself — see Section 8.
Quota doesn't require an account with us, so there's no username or password on our side to protect. You are responsible for:
You agree not to:
Quota, including its name, logo, design and underlying code, is the property of the Developer and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you. Data you enter into the App — your transactions, notes, categories — remains yours.
Quota is a budgeting and record-keeping tool. It is provided for informational and organizational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice. The spending quota Quota calculates is a simple arithmetic suggestion based on numbers you provide — it is not a recommendation from a licensed financial professional and does not account for your complete financial situation.
You should not rely on Quota as a substitute for advice from a qualified financial advisor, accountant or other professional. Decisions about saving, spending, debt or investing are yours alone and you're solely responsible for them.
Quota is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted or entirely secure or that calculations, exports or backups will always be accurate or free of bugs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages or any loss of data, financial loss or loss of profits, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) Quota — including, without limitation, a forgotten backup password, a data-loss event or a decision you made based on information shown in the App.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, the Developer's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim (which, for the free version of Quota, is zero).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.
If you enable Google Drive backup, your use of Google's services is also governed by Google's own Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the availability, performance or policies of Google's services and any interruption to Google Drive is outside our control.
You may stop using Quota at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any feature of it (including Google Drive backup), at any time, with or without notice, though we'll try to give reasonable notice for anything that would affect your access to your own data.
We may update, modify or discontinue features of Quota over time. We aim to keep backward compatibility with your existing data, but we don't guarantee that every feature available today will remain available indefinitely.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, except where applicable consumer-protection law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts instead.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continuing to use Quota after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
